Radka & Rene realized their ultimate goal in 1995 with a World Championship in Brimingham, England. Czeh National Champions each year from 1989 until 1995, the pair skated in six World Championships and two Winter Olympics before earning the World title. Their success continued the following season, when they became World Professional Champions. In 1996, they realized another dream as they married on June 1 in the Czech Republic, in the largest wedding ever held in the Brno City Hall.
They began skating together in 1989, the first of seven consecutive National Pair Championships. The breakthrough season was 1991-92 as the couple finished fourth at the Albertville Olympics and continued with a surprising silver medal performance at the World's in Oakland, Calif. It was the first silver medal for a Czech pair in 34 years.
They spent their honeymoon in Tunisia, Africa before heading to Sun Valley, Idaho. Among their activities is a common hobby, windsurfing.
